What is Quant Finance?
Interested in maths, statistics or programming?
Then you might want to explore the world of quantitative finance.
Quant finance focuses on the use of mathematical modelling and large datasets to analyse financial data. This can be applied to many areas of finance, such as options pricing, risk management strategies, trading and more.
Roles inside quant finance can range a fair bit; you can work as a quant researcher, analyst or developer, amongst others.
A range of firms offer quant finance roles, from quant divisions inside large banks, to prop trading firms or hedge funds. Generally they target anyone with a quantitative background, and having a Master’s or PhD can often work in your advantage.
We’ve put together a large collection of resources, application advice & tips and list of firms offering summer internships, available from clicking the button below.
How can you get involved?
